Abstract

The biggest problem in businesses is to survive and pass the business on to future generations. Achieving this is possible with institutionalization and sustainability. In the management literature, there are studies that examine institutionalization, sustainability and demographic characteristics of businesses separately. In this study; The relationships between institutionalization and sustainability have been tested empirically. The research was applied to key personnel of family businesses in Istanbul and Kocaeli provinces between January and May 2023. 774 people participated in the research. With the research, institutionalization has a significant impact on sustainability; It was found to have a positive effect.
